Some of the revisions that I made to my original web introduction were because of my results from the “Readability Test Results”. My test results came back saying that it had an average grade level of about an 8, meaning that it could easily be understood by 13-14 year olds. I don’t think it surprised me much, because the way that I wrote it I tried to break it up into different sections and use less words in my sentences.

I tried to keep it straight to the point in my introduction. Some approached that I took in my revisions were first trying to take out any filler words that were unnecessary. Trying to also keep my sentences shorter so they would flow better and be quicker for the reader to read. I think that my revision allow my introduction to flow better and makes the piece less wordy than the first original post.

My name is Crystal Sicard and I am a senior at the University of Indianapolis. I plan to graduate in December at the end of this semester with a degree in Communication. I am from Brookfield, Wisconsin.

After graduation I am hoping to become a News Reporter or a Sports Reporter. I enjoy and have a passion for news and I am constantly keeping up with all the news that is going on in Indianapolis. I also enjoy sports, which is why I am also interested in being a sports reporter. I grew up playing sports throughout high school and enjoy watching different sports as well.

I enjoy writing and that is why I was interested in taking this class. Something that I would like to learn more about is the online platform. I have done a lot of writing classes and I feel like this would be something different for me to try and learn from.

My favorite tv show right now is Love Island. I love reality tv and those types of dating shows. I also enjoy Bring the Funny. It has many different entertaining comedy acts and competition shows are just fun to watch and follow. I love to watch rom-coms, they are my favorite type of show or movie. Some hobbies of mine include shopping, working, and fitness.
